Why the name changed

In Safe Company puts words to the promise we make to every person who walks through our doors.

Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence · Serving DeKalb County and metro Atlanta

For decades, this organization has been known by what it works to end. The new name says what it offers instead.

When survivors of domestic and sexual violence come to us, what they need most is to feel safe and to know they are not alone. That is what In Safe Company means.

The name is changing. The crisis lines, the shelter, the advocacy, the children's programs, and the people who answer the phone are not.

One organization

Four names, gathering into one.

Our work has lived under separate names and separate sites for years. This fall it comes together in a single place, under a single promise.

Still exactly where you left it

Our programs, unchanged.

Each site remains live and staffed while the new one is built. Nothing has moved and nothing has closed.

If you need help right now

Someone answers, every hour of every day.

You do not need to know what you want to do next. You can call to ask a question, to talk through options, or simply because you would rather not be alone with it.

Stay with us

The full site arrives this fall.

We are bringing all of our programs together into one place, built around the people who use them. If you are a partner, a funder, a volunteer, or a neighbor who wants to know when it is live, tell us where to reach you.

Media and partnership inquiries are welcome at the same address.
