Counseling and Support Groups

Healing for Your Whole Self

In Safe Company offers therapy, support groups, and wellness activities to help you feel better in your body, process what you've been through, and reduce the long-term impacts of trauma. Whether you're looking for one-on-one support, connection with others who understand, or a gentler way to reconnect with yourself, there's a place for you here.

You Belong Here, However You're Feeling

All survivors are welcome no matter what happened, how long ago it was, or how you feel about it. You don't have to have it figured out, and you don't have to be in crisis to reach out. Sessions move at your pace. You're always in control of what you share and when you share it. Our therapists are trained to work with communities of color and LGBTQ+ individuals, so you can show up as your full self.

What's the Difference Between Therapy and a Support Group?

Individual therapy is one-on-one time with a licensed clinician, focused on you: your experiences, your goals, and your healing at your own pace.

Support groups bring survivors together to share, connect, and heal alongside people who understand. Groups are available in person or virtually.

Not sure which one is right for you? That's okay! You don't have to decide alone. Reach out, and we'll help you figure out the best fit. Fill out this form to get started.

Not Sure About Therapy? We've Got You.

Healing doesn't have to mean sitting and talking about what happened. Our wellness offerings — including yoga, meditation, nutrition, journaling, and creative arts — offer another way in. Many survivors find these a gentler starting point and a meaningful complement to therapy or groups.

Free, Confidential, and Judgment-Free

All of our services are free and confidential. In every group we offer, we follow a shared set of group agreements to help everyone feel safe, respected, and supported.

Group Agreements
  1. I will maintain a non-judgmental attitude towards others respecting the diversity within the group, including religious diversity.
  2. I agree to be mindful when expressing my own personal religious views and only apply these views to my own experience, not to the experiences of others.
  3. I will only join the group from a private location to protect the confidentiality and safety of the group members. I will not attempt to join the group when in public or another shared space where others could hear/see group.
  4. I agree to keep confidential personal information that others disclose.
  5. I will not compromise the safety of another group member by approaching them, or acknowledging that I know them when I am outside of support group.
  6. I agree to respect this space as violence-free, substance-free, and electronics-free (other than my Zoom device).
  7. I will avoid labeling myself and others by using clinical terminology.
  8. I will make every effort to be on time and will not attempt to join the group if I am more than thirty (30) minutes late.
  9. I will speak honestly from my own personal perspective and life experience rather than give advice and/or make recommendations.
  10. I will listen respectfully as support group members find and use their voices. I will refrain from interrupting others while they are speaking.
  11. I will respect this space as a place of mindful attentiveness, refraining from activity that could be distracting or disruptive. I will mute my microphone when not speaking to limit background noise.

This isn't just about coping. It's about reclaiming your joy, your connections, and your sense of who you are. You deserve more than survival. You deserve to feel like yourself again, or maybe even discover a version of yourself you haven't met yet.
