Housing Stability Services

Speak with an advocate 24/7 to discuss emergency housing and safety options.

I Need A Safe Place To Stay Tonight

Taking the first step can feel like the hardest part, so we try to make it simple. Call our 24-hour hotline any time, day or night. You don't need to have a plan, know exactly what you need, or even be sure you're ready. Just start with a conversation. A trained advocate will listen, answer your questions, and share resources that can support you in choosing your next steps, including honestly letting you know about space and options in the moment. You're never a burden, and you're never alone in figuring this out.

What to Expect at the Safe House

The safe house address is confidential. Families have their own bedrooms while single women may have one roommate. Guests have their own private spaces to retreat and recharge. Communal spaces in the house include a living room, dining room, kitchen, porch, playground, firepit, courtyard, and children’s areas. Spaces are designed and furnished with care to create a peaceful, clean, and welcoming atmosphere full of purpose. While at the safe house, your basic needs, including food, clothing, and transportation, will be met while you take care of your mind and body and make plans for the next stage in your journey. Advocates will provide support and guidance toward your personal goals throughout your stay.

Our Safe House is just the beginning. Through our program, you'll start planning for the safe future you imagine for yourself. That means help setting goals, working toward a job, bonding with your children, and finding permanent housing you can call your own. Most families who complete our program move directly into stable housing and stay stably housed a year later. This isn't just shelter. It's a path forward.

Your Pets Are Family, Too

Our safe house is pet friendly. We know your fur babies are an important part of your family, and worrying about them should never stand between you and safety. In many cases, you can bring your pets with you to our safe house. If that isn’t possible, we partner with other organizations to arrange temporary foster care for your pets while you plan for your family’s safety.

Transitional Housing

In Safe Company also offers transitional housing for survivors with the drive to make significant changes in their family’s financial stability. These families receive additional support while they work toward major health, education, savings, or other goals.

Not ready for such a big step? We’re still here for you.

Safety looks different for everyone and you don't have to choose between shelter or nothing. Reach an advocate 24/7 on our domestic violence hotline to discuss support and safety options. No one will pressure you to take any steps you aren’t ready for.
